Insert Title That Adequately Describes This Day

Today is my last day. The last day with the people I am going to miss tremendously. The last day before I set off on this great adventure. I wish I could tell you how I am feeling right now, but I'm just not really sure. I feel everything and nothing. I am nervous, excited, sad, anxious, terrified, confused, conflicted, proud, and honored....and that'd only the beginning. I waver between feeling like two years is equivalent to an ion and like two years is nothing. All I know is that today is here whether I am ready for it or not and all I can do is try to be present to all that it means.

Now that I have shared the meaning behind this post and a little bit about my feelings, I will share with you all some logistical information for all who have been asking. I am going into the Peace Corps in Panama as an Environmental Health Volunteer. My specific job title is Hygiene Education and Water Sanitation Volunteer. When I get to Panama, I will spend three months in training with all of the other Panama volunteers before we all head out to our separate sites. I will share more information about that when I have it. I will have language, skill, and culture training during this time. I have an address for while I am in training if anyone is interested. I would love to hear from you guys!

A lot of people have been asking me what it looks like to pack for the Peace Corps for two years, so here are a couple pictures:

Here is me with my pack fully loaded. I am also bringing a large duffel filled with clothes, gear, and other random items that is not pictured.

Here is to hoping that I will be able to carry all of this into my village.

I am not very good at blogging regularly but I am determined to keep a blog while I am gone. So stay connected to me and I will stay connected to you.
Talk to you soon!
